Ten years serving society

Ten years ago, a group of academics and entrepreneurs from Cluj decided to found an organization to promote an ideal of a modern society. The impetus was the Romanian social reality at that time, the lack of a coherent and concurrent manifestation of the Romanian nation’s creativity and constructive effort.

The Foundation’s evolution was rapid and significant. At the beginning, the Rectors’ Club was formed, bringing together former leaders of the universities of Cluj, all of them recognized as leading specialists in the scientific, artistic and cultural fields, nationally and internationally renowned personalities, and, implicitly, repositories of valuable managerial and social experience. Shortly afterwards, the Businessmen’s Club was joined by entrepreneurs known for their outstanding achievements in the private sector, creators of brands appreciated on the local, national and regional market. They have brought to the Foundation not only exceptional entrepreneurial expertise, which they have shared with young entrepreneurs, but also an exemplary dedication to promoting and supporting performance, professionalism, cooperation and competition, and the constructive skills necessary for local and national communities’ social and cultural development.

“We have one important project, the Romania project”. Under this motto, ten years after its establishment, the Transylvania Leaders Foundation decided to mark the event by publishing an anniversary book containing the thoughts, plans and achievements of this period.

The 120-page book was carefully designed by the Branzas team and edited and realized with the involvement of leading Romanian academic and business personalities.
