About Spec Work

Spec work or speculative work is an increasingly common phenomenon that is usually manifested by the request to make a project, free of charge, by as many designers as possible. It can be manifested through pitches, contests or direct requests for various offers. It is an unethical practice for this profession.

Just a few words to the designers: don’t accept this kind of projects.
For the customers: this approach is of no use to you. On the contrary, under the apparent budget savings, you will have many more problems that will ultimately translate into wasted time and money. And the quality of the projects that you will receive, will always leave much to be desired.
